Early Life- Was just like a rose struggling to bloom amid the thorns Abhijeet Bhattacharya was born to a middle class Bengali family in Kanpur. As a child, the youngest of the four siblings had dreams that differed the normal lifestyle of the family. He dreamt to be the greatest playback singer of Bollywood film industry. His parents opposed the whole idea. However the challenging youngster stormed to make his mark.

After his regular schooling and college he came to Mumbai in 1981 to study Chartered Accountancy, but left it halfway for his true passion. Despite being gifted with a melodious voice, he struggled for a long time. Due to economic constraints Abhijeet resided in tiny houses and even packed his bags back to Kanpur several times. However he returned as he was attracted by the strong magnetism of the glamor world.
